We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Program/Project Manager to lead a project for an upstream oil and gas company that plans to move their natural gas sales/trading and logistics activities from a 3rd party vendor to in-house. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of oil and gas operations and commodity sales, along with a strong background in program/project management. The consultant will be responsible for transitioning activities from a 3rd party vendor to building an in-house organization that will manage the sales, market analysis, and operational logistics of energy commodities such as natural gas and crude oil. This role will build the program structure, oversee all aspects of the project workstreams, and have hands on responsibility for project managing some workstreams.  This role requires experience with large transformational, cross-functional programs that impact organizational structures, operations, finance, risk management, legal, and regulatory and compliance processes and IT systems (i.e., ETRM, ERP, CRM). The Senior Program/Project Manager will ensure overall program success and smooth integration across workstreams, change management and full implementation of the program. This role requires superior executive presence and stakeholder engagement at all levels of the client organization. . Responsibilities:. . Lead, design, and manage the entire insourcing program structure and associated project workstreams, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and timelines.. . Oversee and coordinate all workstreams of the project, including systems, processes, infrastructure, organizational design and implementation, and the successful transition of the sales and marketing team in-house from a vendor.. . Program oversight of the implementation of an ETRM system, critical tools used by the newly built department, ensuring seamless integration into current systems and workflows.. . Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Commercial, IT, HR, Legal, Operations, Risk, and other departments to ensure project success.. . Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery.. . Monitor and track project progress, identifying and mitigating risks or issues to ensure project objectives are met.. . Support change management activities.. . Provide regular formal and informal updates and reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.. . Act as the primary point of contact for all program and project-related inquiries and issues. . . Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.. . Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.. . Ability to manage change and navigate complex, fast-paced environments.. . Ability to drive results, overcome obstacles, and deliver successful outcomes.. . . . Minimum 7 years of project management experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically within commodity sales and IT functions.. . Strong understanding of upstream oil and gas companies and how to optimize operations, manage risks, and enhance profitability through effective marketing, logistics, and trading strategies.. . Experience managing programs and projects in commodities marketing, logistics, and trading services, focused on North American energy markets. ​. . . Experience leading projects with a functional transition from a vendor to an in-house model.. . Experience with Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) and CRM systems.. . Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects, including the ability to develop project plans, manage resources, and track progress across multiple workstreams.. . Strong leadership abilities, with experience building and managing teams, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.. . Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.. . The Project Manager must have a strong understanding of how to manage a system/platform launch from an IT perspective, ensuring successful integration with existing technologies.. . PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus.. . Experience with ETRM software such as Openlink, Allegro, or related platform preferred.. . Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.. . Experience with Smartsheet or similar Project Management software.. . Experience with the MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.. .
