2D Artist (12 month contract) at Storytoys. This role can be based in Dublin or the United Kingdom, Hybrid or Remote working. We can only accept applications from candidates based in Ireland or the United Kingdom. 12 month fixed term contract. At StoryToys we develop apps that ensure kids have fun with their favorite characters while learning and growing. . We partner and collaborate with top children's brands like LEGO, Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and more. Our apps include LEGO® DUPLO® WORLD, Disney Coloring World, and Hungry Caterpillar Play School. With over 200 million downloads, we have achieved global success across major app platforms.. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Mid-Level Digital 2D Artist to join our team and work on our catalogue of mobile apps. As the successful candidate, art for the App(s) will go through you, either as a creator or a reviewer. This role is not fit for recent graduates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating engaging 2D art assets for both pre-production and production, a keen eye for graphic and UI design and proven proficiency in the Adobe Suite of products. You have experience in the games industry and more specifically making art that will be implemented in Unity, you also have knowledge in animation and have worked within an AGILE process.. Key Responsibilities. Asset Creation:. Design and produce high-quality 2D art assets, including characters, backgrounds, UI elements, and animations for mobile games.. Brand Oversight: . Work with producers and other team members to make sure all work is in-line with partner’s IP design guidelines.. Concept Development:. Collaborate with the product team to develop concepts and visual styles that align with the game’s theme and target audience.. UI Design:. Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the player experience.. Collaboration: . Work closely with developers and other artists to ensure seamless integration of art into Unity.. Feedback Implementation:. Actively participate in team reviews, incorporating feedback to refine artwork and meet project goals.. Quality Assurance: . Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all art assets.. Documentation: . Maintain clear documentation of processes and workflows for team reference.. Self-Management: . Capable of seeking their next task, able to deliver within agreed deadlines and budget.. Self-Driven: . Capable of working on their own development, keeping up to date with trends and technology. Willing to learn new techniques.. Preferred Qualifications. Previous experience working as a 2D artist in the gaming industry. A portfolio showcasing relevant work is required.. Experience with additional software (e.g., Spine, Premiere, After Effects) is advantageous.. Experience working in an Agile environment, as well as using Jira, Slack, Float, Teams and Office for work management and communication is ideal.. Benefits. Salary based on experience..
