We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and AI forward Director of Human Resources to lead HR initiatives that align with Softheon’s growth and strategic goals. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, this role will oversee core HR functions, drive the development and implementation of innovative HR programs, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. . The Director of Human Resources will play a pivotal role in equipping leaders with HR best practices, mentoring HR team members, and ensuring that our people strategy supports both employee engagement and business success. This role will require availability to address urgent business matters as needed. . You Will: . Strategic Leadership and Workforce Development . Provide strategic guidance and collaboration with senior leadership, including the CEO and CFO, to align HR strategies with business objectives and our Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategy. . Develop and implement HR programs, policies, and practices that enhance employee engagement, retention, and productivity. . Partner with department heads and VP of HR to implement succession plans, talent strategies, and organizational design initiatives that support business scalability. . Serve as a trusted advisor to managers, providing coaching and guidance on performance management, employee relations, and talent development. . Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering professional growth and alignment with strategic priorities. . Monitor and address workforce wellness, burnout, and retention to support sustainable productivity. . Apply Task Relevant Maturity principles to tailor leadership and delegation approaches, ensuring HR initiatives and responsibilities are aligned with the experience levels of team members for optimal effectiveness. . Assess and develop the TRM of HR personnel through targeted coaching and resource allocation to build a resilient, capable HR function that scales with organizational growth. . Core HR Operations and Project Leadership . Manage Paylocity HRIS, integrations (EDI feeds, benefits carriers, payroll), and ongoing optimization. . Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with market data (AON benchmarking, range spreads, pay equity audits). . Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, calibrations, and development planning, to cultivate a high-performance culture. . Direct HR technology enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability and employee experience. . Employee Relations and Compliance . Address complex employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution, with fairness and compliance. . Ensure compliance with federal and multi-state employment laws, including PTO, leave, wage & hour, ADA, and disability rules. . Oversee immigration and visa compliance, in partnership with external counsel. . Maintain HR risk registers, support audit readiness (DOL, OFCCP, EEOC), and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies. . Act as a cultural steward, reinforcing company values and fostering collaboration. . HR Technology and Data-Driven Insights . Build HR dashboards, predictive analytics, pay equity regression analyses, and risk heatmaps to drive data-informed decision-making. . Leverage HR analytics and metrics to measure program effectiveness, identify trends, and inform workforce planning. . Employee Wellness and Engagement . Advocate for work-life balance through flexible work arrangements and proactive wellness initiatives. . Foster an engaged, resilient workforce aligned with Softheon’s mission and values. . Change and Cultural Management . Lead organizational change initiatives with clear communication, alignment to strategic goals, and minimal disruption. . Collaborate with the Talent team to actively engage in the hiring and recruitment process, including but not limited to participating in interviews. . Leverage industry networks and expertise to identify and attract top talent that aligns with the company's objectives and values. . Provide guidance and mentorship to team members within your department and across diverse functions. . Play an integral role in shaping and reinforcing the overall company culture, promoting values that enhance teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement. . Additional Responsibilities . Must be available for on-call duty during peak periods, providing support outside of regular working hours as needed to ensure the timely resolution of critical issues. . In addition to ~2x per year headquarters visits, role may require occasional travel to conferences, leadership retreats, or strategy sessions. . . You Have: . Education . Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required). . Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field (preferred). . Experience . 8+ years of progressive HR experience. . 5+ years of proven HR leadership experience in dynamic environments (healthtech or technology preferred). . Expertise in data analysis and advanced excel proficiency . Proven success in HR leadership within high-growth, fast-paced environments, preferably in technology sectors. . Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, manage complex HR projects, and influence senior leadership. . M&A and IPO readiness experience strongly preferred. . Knowledge . Expertise in performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and organizational development. . Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices, with focus on proactive risk management. . Skills .
