This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to shape and scale the user research function within a fast-growing, product-led organization. As Director, User Research, you will set the vision and lead a team of talented researchers, driving insight generation across all product areas. Your work will directly influence design, product strategy, and business decisions, fostering a strong culture of customer-centricity. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Marketing teams, ensuring research is deeply embedded across the product lifecycle. This role is fully remote within the U.S. and Canada.. . Accountabilities:. . Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for user research and integrate it across the product development lifecycle.. . Lead high-impact, mixed-method research initiatives that uncover user needs and influence product decisions.. . Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing research team, nurturing psychological safety and professional development.. . Partner with cross-functional leaders to align research priorities with company goals and ensure actionable insight delivery.. . Champion ethical and scalable research operations, introducing frameworks that elevate research quality and impact.. . Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies (including AI) to enhance research methodologies and workflows.. . Communicate research insights and strategy effectively to executive stakeholders and company-wide audiences.. . 10+ years of experience in user research or related fields, including 3–5 years in leadership roles.. . Proven track record of influencing product strategy in complex, technical environments.. . Deep experience with qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research approaches.. . Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across product, design, data, and business teams.. . Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on when needed to support critical research.. . Experience working in remote, fast-paced, and cross-functional teams.. .
