We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer specialised in Rust to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a proficient problem-solver with a passion for building robust, scalable, and efficient solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software across the stack, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and mentorship.. Key Responsibilities. . Write clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient code using the Rust programming language.. . Collaborate and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and teamwork to build high-quality software.. . Assist in establishing best practices for development, testing, and deployment.. . Mentor junior team members, helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively.. . Design and build scalable solutions leveraging RESTful APIs and web services.. . . . Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent education / open-source experience).. . 5+ years of demonstrated professional software development experience, including 2 - 3 years of demonstrable experience in Rust. . . Proficient in the Rust programming language in a production environment.. . Strong understanding of multithreading and concurrent programming.. . Experience in Axum, SQLx, PostgreSQL, HTMX or similar technologies.. . Experience with version control systems, such as Git.. . Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.. . Solid debugging and testing skills.. . Excellent English language communication skills, both verbal and written.. . Ability to work independently and as part of a team.. .
