This role offers a strategic leadership opportunity to drive growth and expand organizational impact in the health and education sectors. The Director of Business Development will oversee revenue generation activities, including prospecting, relationship building, grant and proposal development, and post-award funder management. You will work cross-functionally with finance, compliance, and project management teams to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives. The role demands a visionary, analytical, and results-oriented leader capable of leveraging technology, including AI-based solutions, to optimize business development processes. You will serve as a key advisor on strategic partnerships, system implementation, and operational efficiency, all while fostering a collaborative and mission-driven work environment.. . Accountabilities. . Lead and manage strategic business development initiatives to drive organizational growth and impact.. . Develop, submit, and manage grant proposals, contracts, and funding opportunities.. . Conduct competitive analysis, identify prospects, and build long-term relationships with partners and funders.. . Collaborate with finance, compliance, and project management teams for post-award reporting and funder relationship management.. . Design and implement systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency, outcomes, and revenue generation.. . Provide conceptual leadership for cross-agency initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.. . Serve as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, representing the organization professionally.. . . Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.. . Minimum of 10 years of business development experience with mid-size to large regional or national non-profits or academic organizations.. . Demonstrated expertise in health and education programs, content, and grant/proposal writing.. . Strong knowledge of federal, state, local government, and private funding streams.. . Proven experience in system and process development, technology implementation, and operational efficiency improvements.. . Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.. . Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with strong presentation and negotiation abilities.. .
