As Chief Technology Officer, you will lead all technical strategy and execution at Caring.ai. You’ll guide product development across our voice agent infrastructure, applied NLP stack, and clinician-facing platform. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can scale early prototypes into production-ready systems, build and manage a high-performing technical team, and help shape our roadmap alongside clinical and business leadership.. Key Responsibilities. . Own and evolve Caring.ai’s technical architecture across voice, NLP, and web platforms. . . Lead the development of our voice-based cognitive screener and care manager copilot. . . Build and optimize NLP pipelines to:. . . . Extract cognitive assessment content from natural speech. . . Analyze sentiment and mood from conversations. . . Generate narrative care plans aligned with DSM-5 domains. . . . Ensure HIPAA compliance and security best practices across all systems and data. . . Oversee internal and external development resources, including hiring and team management. . . Collaborate with the CEO, care team, and advisors on product vision, clinical integration, and go-to-market strategy. . . Support grant applications and investor diligence with technical documentation and planning. . . Qualifications. . 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or founding engineer role. . . Proven experience applying NLP or LLMs in real-world products (e.g., intent classification, summarization, emotion detection). . . Experience building and scaling HIPAA-compliant cloud platforms (AWS or GCP preferred). . . Proficiency with modern development tools and stacks (e.g., Python, Node.js, MongoDB, Next.js). . . Experience working with speech technologies, voice agents, or conversational AI. . . Strong architecture and systems thinking — ability to balance speed, scale, and maintainability. . . Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders. . . Passion for healthcare innovation and improving the lives of dementia patients and caregivers. . Bonus Skills (Nice to Have). . Experience with DSM-5, cognitive scoring frameworks, or CPT billing codes (96116, 96132, CCM). . .
