This role is fully remote with flexibility to work across the United States.. . Accountabilities. . Own assigned backend projects from design through deployment and maintenance.. . Collaborate with architecture leadership to design, optimize, and scale AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, ECS, S3, IAM, etc.).. . Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitor system health, and troubleshoot performance issues.. . Contribute to architectural decisions across the stack, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and scalability.. . Write clean, tested, and maintainable code, and review code written by peers to enforce best practices.. . Identify areas for system improvement, proactively addressing technical challenges and bottlenecks.. . . Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a Backend / Infrastructure Software Engineer.. . Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL).. . Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, ECS, S3, IAM, etc.) or Google Cloud in commercial settings.. . Comfortable with CI/CD workflows, Linux environments, and software architecture principles.. . Strong problem-solving skills, tenacity, and the ability to work independently on complex engineering challenges.. . Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.. .
