Senior Network Engineer at Freelance Latin America. We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a fast-paced, U.S.-based IT services environment supporting multiple client infrastructures. This role is ideal for a highly experienced MSP professional who thrives on solving complex infrastructure and security challenges while improving systems through automation and preventive maintenance.. You will play a key role in strengthening infrastructure reliability, responding to security incidents, and driving long-term technical improvements across diverse client environments.. Duties / Tasks to perform. Respond to security alerts (Huntress, Blumira), including investigation, containment, remediation, and documentation of results . Perform preventive maintenance: monitoring reviews, patch coordination, system cleanup, and environment standardization . Automate repeatable tasks using PowerShell (onboarding/offboarding, reporting, recurring fixes) . Manage ticket workflows and client communication using ConnectWise Manage . Perform remote monitoring and remediation through Datto RMM . Create and maintain clear documentation and procedures for repeatable solutions . Lead Disaster Recovery planning and testing across environments . Execute emergency VM and server recovery when required . Troubleshoot and administer Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP) . Manage Microsoft 365 environments and Azure identity/security settings . Support networking infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, switching, and Wi-Fi (Meraki preferred; UniFi/Netgear helpful) . Participate in a limited on-call rotation for critical server outages only . 5+ years of strong MSP experience supporting multiple client environments . Advanced Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills . Strong networking knowledge (firewalls, VPNs, switching, Wi-Fi) . Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure fundamentals (identity, email, security settings) . Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and preventive work . Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V; high availability experience is a plus) . Experience responding to security alerts and incidents (Huntress, Blumira; ThreatLocker preferred) . Experience with ConnectWise Manage and Datto RMM . Proven experience handling disaster recovery and server/network failure scenarios . Excellent documentation habits and professional English communication skills . Ability to work US Eastern Time hours. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am -5pm (GMT -5-00) Eastern Time (US & Canada), Bogota, Lima. Company Location: Costa Rica.
