We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL and Snowflake, and solid experience building and managing data pipelines in enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing scalable data solutions and will ideally bring hands-on knowledge of tools such as Matillion and/or SnapLogic. . Responsibilities:. Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows with a focus on Snowflake and SQL. . Build, optimize, and manage scalable data models for analytics, reporting, and advanced use cases. . Integrate structured and unstructured data from diverse sources, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and scalability. . Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. . Apply best practices in data governance, quality, and security across pipelines and platforms. . Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of data processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. . Leverage modern tools (Matillion, SnapLogic, or equivalent) to streamline ingestion, transformation, and automation. . Support CI/CD and version control practices to enable agile data development. . Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. . 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with strong expertise in SQL and Snowflake. . Proven experience designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines at scale. . Solid understanding of data pipeline principles, including batch and real-time processing. . Strong experience in performance tuning and query optimization for large datasets. . Proficiency with modern data integration tools (Matillion and/or SnapLogic preferred). . Experience working with APIs and cloud-based data services. . Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. . Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):. Hands-on experience with Matillion and/or SnapLogic in production environments. . Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation. . Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). . Experience with data quality and cleansing frameworks. . Familiarity with BI/visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. . Company Location: Romania.
