ABOUT THE ROLE. The Community and Development Associate provides coordination and project support for WDN/A’s member growth and action opportunities that support members in maximizing their potential and capacity as donor activists. This role ensures seamless coordination of member programs, events, and processes so that WDN/A’s members connect, grow, and mobilize together while engaging with WDN and WDN Action. The Community and Development Associate is a detail-oriented project manager who engages with people from diverse communities and backgrounds. They support fundraising and the member experience, including the management of systems for the Community and Development Team. . This position requires occasional travel within the United States for meetings, team retreats and organizational events. Candidates must be able to work weekday hours across time zones and should have previously demonstrated experience and comfort with remote work. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES. As WDN and WDN Action continues to operationalize our strategic plan, the Community and Development Associate will be focused on the following:. MEMBERSHIP COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT . . Co-create a strong, supportive membership community culture, inclusive of multi-racial, multi-generational members, that encourages members in their journey to learn, grow, and take action.. . Coordinate member engagement programs and events to deepen member connections to each other and the membership community. . . Connect with members to guide and provide direction by fielding scheduling requests, responding to member questions, and acting as a resource for members.. . Manage participant communications before, during, and after community programs and events, including confirming and tracking attendance, answering questions, and sending follow-up messages.. . . Provide logistical and administrative support for community programs, including regional events, new member onboarding, the annual conference, and other community-based gatherings.. . Create meeting materials, including meeting agendas, slides, reminder emails, and post-meeting recaps.. . DEVELOPMENT OPERATIONS. . Coordinate and track new member onboarding and offboarding processes, including sending member gifts and our welcome email series.. . Manage and update member wiki pages, including uploading call recordings and notes, adding/removing members, and updating meeting dates/resources.. . Collaborate with the Finance Team to reconcile member contributions to ensure accurate record keeping. . . Coordinate and manage the prospective member onboarding process, including updating recruitment materials, sending event invitations and scheduling discovery calls. . . Collaborate with the Vice President of Community and Development to support and manage the tracking of member solicitations and engagement. . . . Manage data entry and analysis of membership and fundraising in Salesforce CRM, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained and tracked.. . Create reports for the Community and Development Team that provide donor segmentation and analysis of prospective members, current members, and renewals.. . TEAM ENGAGEMENT. . Build and sustain a culture of collaboration, communication, excellence and accountability.. . Collaborate with cross-functional partners on annual planning, strategy, budgeting, and other relevant organization-wide initiatives.. . As the Community and Development Associate on the Community and Development Team, you must have:. . 2+ years of program coordination experience, with demonstrated success coordinating well-organized, inclusive programs and events.. . A steadfast commitment to social justice and WDN/A’s mission, vision, and values; experience in a membership organization is preferred.. . A detail-oriented approach to work with excellent administrative and organizational skills, including strong judgment in task prioritization and time management.. . Understanding and fluency in the complexities of communicating with a dynamic community of multigenerational and multiracial audiences, including differences across race, age, wealth, power, privilege, access, ability, etc.. .
