This is a . remote role open to candidates located within the 48 contiguous United States. , with occasional travel (at least 10%, approximately one week per quarter) to customer sites, fabrication facilities, or field locations.. What You’ll Do. Lead mechanical design for . cranes, lifting beams, hoists, and rigging systems. Create 3D models & drawings in . SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo. Run . FEA, load calculations, and structural analysis. Manage projects from concept to delivery — including fabrication and field support. Collaborate with customers, vendors, and fabrication teams. Support testing, commissioning, and incident investigations. Support fabrication shops and field teams across the Houston region. Must-Have Qualifications. 10+ years of mechanical design experience in cranes, lifting systems, or heavy equipment. U.S. Citizen or Green Card. Proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo. Ability to travel ~10%. Bonus Experience. Offshore, industrial, or construction lifting background. Familiarity with . gantry systems, winches, PLC-integrated equipment. Experience writing . work packs, test plans, and field documentation. Preferred Experience. Background in offshore, industrial, or construction lifting environments..
