The Medical Records Abstractor at Fourier Health is a healthcare professional whose aim is to help review, annotate and label medical records for our human-in-the-loop AI summarization platform. . Please note that this is a remote, 1099 role. Part-Time or Full-Time positions available. The role requires availability to work during the business hours of 8am-6pm ET, M-F. Review large volumes of medical documentation, abstract key clinical data and label it appropriately based on provided clinical guidelines. . Someone with at least 2 years of experience working with medical records or clinical data . . Someone with the ability to dedicate at least 20 scheduled hours per week. Schedule is open to discussion within normal business hours of 8AM-6PM ET, M-F. . Able to work efficiently through a large volume of incoming cases, meeting standard turn around time requirements. . Comfortable interpreting medical records containing diagnostic information across a variety of specialities related to benign hematology and/or cancer diagnoses. Experience in other specialties a bonus. . A quick learner who is excited about using new technology in innovative ways to improve clinical workflows. . Detail-oriented, curious and proactive about solving challenges within the healthcare system. . Technically savvy, quick to dive in to learning new systems and software. Able to communicate with IT teams and share feedback and ideas for improvement. . Familiar with HIPAA compliance. . Able to work independently - this position requires use of a laptop or desktop computer. . Currently located and authorized to work in the United States . . Need to Have: . . For Medical Assistant or CNA applicants, an active, unencumbered certification. . Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university . . Minimum of 2 years experience working with medical records. . Nice to Have: . . For Oncology Data Abstractors, an ODS certification. . Experience working with oncology patient data or pediatric patient data. . Experience working with a digital health start up or similar fast-paced environment. . Experience working with veteran medical documentation. . Basic understanding of AI and data processing workflows. . Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCC coding. .
