MidLevel QA & QC Engineer (8 Months Contract) - Octopus by RTG at robusta. About the Role. We are seeking a highly experienced Midlevel QC & QA Specialist to handle end-to-end testing efforts and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role combines hands-on testing expertise with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring QA teams, driving best practices, and acting as the main point of contact for all quality-related matters.. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong in both manual and automated testing, and confident in leading client-facing discussions.. Key Responsibilities. Testing Strategy & Execution. Design, plan, and oversee end-to-end testing strategies across the SDLC . Ensure coverage of both functional and non-functional requirements . Define and implement risk-based testing and regression strategies . Automation & Manual Testing. Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks . Perform detailed manual testing to identify edge cases and hidden defects . Bug Tracking & Quality Control. Identify, document, and track defects with high accuracy and attention to detail . Ensure clear communication and timely resolution of issues. Continuous Improvement. Stay updated on new testing tools and methodologies . Drive innovation and improvements in QA processes and practices . Experience. 3+ years of experience in QA/QC . Strong experience in both manual and automated testing . Proven experience designing test plans, test cases, and regression suites . Technical Skills. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and SDLC . Experience with automation tools and scripting languages . Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools . Experience with version control systems . Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus . Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) . Company Location: Egypt.
