Reporting to executive leadership, this role is accountable for strategic account development, pipeline health, and alignment of NOBLE’s capabilities with customer mission needs.. The Director role focuses on shaping demand, guiding complex customer relationships, and directing opportunity development efforts, while partnering with capture leadership for formal pursuits. Success in this role is measured by strategic pipeline growth and quality, strength of senior-level customer relationships, revenue growth and contribution to awarded programs, and development and effectiveness of BD team members.. Responsibilities. Sales & Customer Engagement. Serve as a senior point of contact for [insert service vertical] program offices and key stakeholders within assigned portfolio.. Lead executive-level customer engagement and long-range account planning.. Influence customer thinking by aligning NOBLE capabilities with evolving mission and modernization priorities.. Represent NOBLE in high-level customer discussions, industry forums, and strategic events.. Pipeline Development & Opportunity Shaping. Own the development and execution of a multi-year Navy and Marine Corps program office sales and opportunity pipeline.. Guide early-stage opportunity shaping and customer engagement strategies.. Determine readiness of opportunities for transition to capture and proposal teams.. Provide strategic input into bid/no-bid decisions and pursuit prioritization.. Accountable for assigned sales performance, including pipeline development, opportunity progression, and contribution to booked revenue.. Market & Program Insight. Maintain deep understanding of Navy and Marine Corps program office structures, funding profiles, and acquisition roadmaps.. Monitor competitive landscape and emerging market opportunities within the Navy and Marine Corps.. Inform leadership of market trends, customer priorities, and strategic risks or opportunities.. Develop and maintain a working understanding of DoD budget cycles, appropriations, and program funding mechanisms, and collaborate with NOBLE’s strategy and capture teams to align customer engagement and opportunity development with funding realities.. Team Leadership and Internal Alignment. Mentor and guide Business Development Managers and Representatives supporting the [insert service vertical] portfolio. Coordinate closely with capture, proposal, operations, contracts, and pricing leadership.. Ensure alignment between customer needs, solution development, and execution capabilities.. Additional Responsibilities. Professionally represent NOBLE at trade shows, industry days, and customer events.. Experience. 10+ years of experience in DoD business development or federal sales, including senior-level customer engagement.. Demonstrated success developing and managing complex, long-term DoD pipelines.. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.. Prior military service strongly preferred.. Extensive experience working with [insert service vertical] program offices. Deep familiarity with [insert service vertical] mission areas, systems, and operational environments.. Ability to travel at least 50% of the time..
