This position is responsible for identifying and mitigating risks in the supply chain, intervening with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted material flow to our production and supporting the procurement team in business operations. The role also involves collaborating with suppliers, team members and partners for risk assessment, due diligence and leading the improvement of our supplier base.. WHAT YOU WILL DO:. . Contribute to the enhancement of New Flyer/MCI supplier risk management capabilities across a broader range of risk exposures . . Lead the supplier readiness program, ensure new suppliers are ready to support our operations, including major product or demand changes. . Lead ongoing supplier governance as per classification strategy . . Participate as representative of purchasing department in the supplier selection and qualification process . . Problem solve and fix supplier issues impacting operations . . Responsible for supplier audit program. . Identify and implement performance improvement measures with new and existing suppliers . . Conduct root cause analysis exercise for supply chain group and business analysts support as needed . . WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:. . Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain or operations related field . . 5+ years in OEM environment . . 5+ years in a senior supply chain role with strong process systems experience . . Global relationship management experience with partners, team members, business and supplier leaders. . Clear ability to influence change, bring together different views, make decisions and agreements on goals. . Understanding of procurement lifecycle including sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and risk management . . Demonstrated successes leading improvements, organizational change and project management . . Company Location: Canada.
