SR Lead People Operations at Owlchemy Labs. Job Summary:. Owls in this role will assess, design and build the systems, programs, and culture that enable our Owls and business to thrive. . Responsibilities:. Develop and execute a People Operations strategy aligned with company goals, growth plans, and values.. Own optimizations of the end-to-end employee experience, including; recruiting partnership, onboarding, development, performance, compensation, and offboarding, including the evaluation of the tools used across the lifecycle.. Collaborate with the leadership team and HR to identify improvement areas in the employee lifecycle and design change management plans that will support growth while minimizing risk and friction.. Develop comprehensive project plans, roadmaps, and milestones for key initiatives, including risk management, the development of internal communications, coordination with Owl leaders, and establishing metrics to measure and report on the impact of implemented changes.. Partner with Finance, HR and leadership on compensation philosophy, leveling, and annual cycles (merit, bonus, equity).. Own workforce data end-to-end, from candidate and hiring data through employee lifecycle data, proactively identifying gaps and risks.. Leverage data from HRIS and people systems to strategically inform and drive and measure necessary changes in people programs and enhance the employee experience.. Develop, document, and maintain clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, scalability, and knowledge continuity. . Collaborate closely with HR and leadership to ensure consistent, aligned, and holistic people practices.. Ensure employees are equipped to lead effectively through strong frameworks, training, and coaching.. Champion company culture and values, embedding them into policies, programs, and day-to-day practices.. Required Skills/Abilities: . Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels . Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and risk management. Strong technical fluency in people systems, data analytics, and tools; able to source, interpret, and use people data to inform business recommendations. Strategic thinker adept at translating high-level people strategies into actionable projects, roadmaps, and scalable solutions. Demonstrated experience building scalable people programs and HR systems in a growing, matrixed, remote organization. Adept at anticipating needs, identifying challenges, and implementing proactive, scalable solutions. Collaborative and relationship-oriented, fostering trust and partnership across teams and functions. Experience supporting distributed teams. Required Education and Experience:. 10+ years of experience in progressive HR, people operations, and organizational operations. HR Certification. Proficiency in GSuite, or Microsoft Suite including spreadsheets for reporting, analysis, and presentations. Experience with Notion and Miro. Preferred Education and Experience:. Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP along with a People Analytics Specialty credential. Experience using enterprise planning systems for analysis and reporting. Experience with Tableau, Looker Studio or other dashboard tools. Experience with WorkTango, Workable, and Leapsome. Experience building or implementing DEI programs. Previous experience in Tech, Gaming, Software or Consulting Industry. Appreciation of puns (or at least the ability to groan at them). Physical Requirements: . Owls must be able to use virtual reality headsets but are not expected to own one.. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: . This is a full-time, work from home, 40-hours per week position. Core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CT. . Salary Range: . Base salary $140,000 - $175,000 USD/year. Annual bonus $25,000 USD (payable after a full year of service).
