This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and deploy data-centric and AI-driven enterprise applications for federal clients. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, cloud architecture, and GenAI/LLM workflows, ensuring high-performance, scalable, and compliant solutions. The position involves hands-on pipeline development, data validation, and automation, as well as technical leadership, mentoring, and client engagement. Working onsite part-time, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions, support proposals, and lead demos and trainings. Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, process, and validate data from multiple sources.. . Integrate new data sources seamlessly into existing pipelines.. . Implement automated data validation frameworks and monitor data quality, lineage, and performance.. . Architect solutions across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and support LLM training and inference workflows.. . Develop data preprocessing pipelines for GenAI use cases while ensuring security, privacy, and compliance (e.g., FedRAMP).. . Lead development teams, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance on enterprise application projects.. . Deliver customer-facing presentations, demos, deep-dives, and training sessions on data and AI solutions.. . Support proposal and technical documentation efforts with subject-matter expertise in data engineering and AI/ML.. . . . Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical field.. . 5+ years of experience in data engineering or full-stack development.. . Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.. . Hands-on experience with ETL frameworks such as Apache Airflow or AWS Glue.. . Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.. . Knowledge of data validation, quality frameworks, and lineage tracking.. . Strong leadership skills with experience guiding engineering teams.. . Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.. . Must be local to the DC Metro area and able to work onsite 3 days/week.. . Ability to obtain and maintain a federal government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.. . Preferred Qualifications:. . Experience with LLM data workflows, vector databases, and AI model deployment.. . Familiarity with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).. . Knowledge of streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis).. . Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).. . Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly preferred.. .
