We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager - Trust Accounting in Europe.. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the creation of a greenfield Trust Accounting team responsible for building a reliable, compliant, and accurate financial subsystem. You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on guidance, influencing architecture, processes, and team culture from day one. The position involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Finance, and Legal to deliver high-quality solutions while fostering a culture of precision, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will mentor engineers, define best practices, and ensure the subsystem is trusted by customers and regulators. This is a chance to shape both the technical foundation and the people-focused culture of a newly formed team, contributing to long-term success.. . Accountabilities. . Build and lead a product engineering team (5–7 engineers) focused on financial correctness, compliance, and reliable delivery.. . Ensure the trust accounting subsystem is secure, scalable, auditable, maintainable, and delivered on schedule.. . Collaborate with Product, Finance, Legal, and other Engineering teams to align goals and ensure seamless execution.. . Establish and refine processes to improve delivery speed, system reliability, and team autonomy.. . Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of precision, ownership, and continuous improvement.. . Implement engineering practices emphasizing quality, resilience, observability, and accountability.. . Contribute technical context to discussions and decisions while promoting transparency across teams.. . . . 6+ years of experience in software engineering management or equivalent leadership roles (CTO, Head of Engineering, Director) with direct people management responsibilities.. . Strong software engineering foundation; able to participate in technical and architectural discussions effectively.. . Proven track record leading engineering teams in product-oriented environments, ideally in SaaS or platform businesses.. . Demonstrated ability to drive execution, manage delivery timelines, and remove blockers.. . Experience mentoring engineers and fostering growth-oriented, high-performing teams.. . Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in distributed/remote settings.. . Comfortable working in agile environments with fast-moving priorities and cross-functional collaboration.. . Fluent English.. .
