We focus primarily on two key markets: Australian Local and State Government executives, and commercial executives in defence, engineering, finance, and construction industries.. Role Overview:. We are looking for a meticulous and strategic Research & Qualification Specialist to build our prospect pipeline and set the foundation for successful client conversations. The ideal candidate excels at deep research, lead qualification, and appointment setting, while working collaboratively with our Digital Marketer to maximize business development impact. Your work will involve comprehensive research and intelligence gathering on our target markets, qualifying prospects, and scheduling qualified appointments for our Australian leadership team to conduct direct conversations with potential clients.. Key Responsibilities: . . Conduct comprehensive research on Australian government executives and commercial leaders in target industries (defence, engineering, finance, construction). . Build detailed prospect profiles including current leadership challenges, organizational structure, and potential coaching needs. . Monitor competitor activities, positioning, and market presence across government and corporate sectors. . Track NSW government sector announcements, defence industry news, contract awards, and leadership development trends. . Qualify leads through research-based assessment and initial outreach sequences. . Schedule qualified appointments and meetings for the Waterline Leadership team to conduct. . Research and identify key industry events, conferences, defence forums, and keynote speaking opportunities. . Collaborate closely with our Digital Marketer to share research insights that inform targeted marketing campaigns and content strategy. . Provide market intelligence and prospect insights to support digital marketing efforts and audience targeting. . Maintain and enhance client database with detailed research intelligence and market intelligence documentation. . Develop and refine initial outreach sequences (email/LinkedIn) for prospect engagement. . Provide detailed briefing reports on qualified prospects prior to leadership team conversations. . Track and report on research activities, qualification rates, and appointment setting success. . Required Skills and Qualifications:. . Proven experience in business research, lead qualification, or appointment setting. . Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail. . Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems, and research tools. . Excellent written communication skills for crafting professional outreach    sequences. . Understanding of executive-level business dynamics and decision-making processes. . Experience monitoring industry news, competitive intelligence, and market trends. . Strong collaborative skills and experience working with marketing professionals. . Highly organized with ability to manage multiple research projects and follow-up sequences. . Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setting. . Experience with government and/or commercial sector research preferred. . Work Arrangement & Expectations:.
