We are currently looking for a Software Engineering Manager in the United States or Canada.. We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a team of 5-10 talented engineers in building a cutting-edge developer platform. In this role, you will translate product vision into technical roadmaps, guide the team in delivering high-quality software, and maintain hands-on involvement in coding, debugging, and prototyping. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and GTM to prioritize customer impact while fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation. Lead, coach, and grow a tight-knit engineering squad, fostering professional development and high performance.. . Translate product strategy into clear technical roadmaps and drive end-to-end execution.. . Maintain high standards for code quality, security, performance, and best engineering practices.. . Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and GTM teams to maximize customer impact.. . Remain hands-on by reviewing pull requests, debugging production issues, and prototyping new solutions.. . Support team adoption of modern developer tools, cloud infrastructure, and observability practices.. . Ensure smooth delivery of software to enterprise customers and maintain reliable, scalable systems.. . . 5+ years of professional software development experience, with 1+ year in a leadership role.. . Proven track record of shipping software to large enterprise customers.. . Experience contributing to or leading open source projects.. . Strong technical foundation in:. . . Linux systems. . Kubernetes and containerized environments. . At least one major public cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure). . IP networking and HTTP fundamentals. . . Familiarity with modern tech stacks including backend (Go, Postgres, GCP, Kubernetes, gRPC) and frontend (Typescript, React).. . Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).. . Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.. . Preferred Additional Experience:. . Significant experience with developer tooling or cloud development platforms.. . Active contributions to public open source projects.. .
