Structural Steel Detailer - Work From Home / Dayshift at Twoconnect. As the Structural Steel Detailer, you will play a key support role in producing accurate, fabrication-ready drawings for commercial and industrial projects across New Zealand. This role is ideal for detailers looking to build their technical expertise and experience within a supportive team environment. You will be responsible for executing the foundational aspects of detailing — from modelling repetitive components to updating drawings based on redlines and markups — all while developing your understanding of NZ/AU codes, fabrication practices, and TEKLA Structures. Your output will directly contribute to overall project delivery, workshop efficiency, and buildability on site.. . Support project delivery by producing accurate 3D models and shop drawings using TEKLA Structures, based on markups and design input from senior team members.. . Detail repetitive or standard steel components (e.g., base plates, bracing, cleats, stair treads, handrails), ensuring accuracy and consistency.. . Work from architectural and structural drawings to complete assigned sections of detailing packages under supervision.. . Collaborate with senior detailers to incorporate feedback, redlines, and RFIs into updated models and drawings.. . Assist with drawing revisions and version control, ensuring up-to-date documentation is maintained.. . Learn and apply NZ/AU steel detailing standards, fabrication methods, and construction codes under guidance.. . Participate in internal team meetings and technical reviews to improve knowledge and contribute to quality outcomes.. . Maintain drawing and file organisation according to project and company standards.. . Adhere to company QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) policies at all times.. . . 3 + years’ experience in structural steel detailing, within the NZ or Australian market.. . Competent in TEKLA Structures (or similar 3D steel detailing software), with eagerness to expand technical skills.. . Understanding of basic steel fabrication and erection practices in NZ/AU.. . Exposure to relevant codes and standards such as AS/NZS 1554.1 and AS/NZS 5131 preferred. . Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.. . Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, reliable outputs.. . Willingness to take direction, learn from feedback, and work collaboratively as part of a team.. . Good communication skills — able to ask clarifying questions and report progress effectively.. . Competency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).. . Company Location: Philippines.
