This role offers the opportunity to act as a trusted technical guide for enterprise customers using cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions. You will provide expert-level troubleshooting, recommend best practices, and help customers implement and optimize their database environments. Working remotely with a global support team, you will collaborate closely with development teams on complex issues, mentor junior engineers, and ensure customer satisfaction through proactive problem-solving and technical guidance. This position allows you to influence customer experience, shape internal support practices, and contribute to the reliability and usability of cloud database services at scale.. . Accountabilities. As a Senior Support Engineer I, your responsibilities include:. . Providing in-depth technical troubleshooting and recommending workarounds or solutions for PostgreSQL and cloud environments.. . Collaborating with and mentoring junior support engineers to triage issues, create reproducible test cases, and propose fixes or patches.. . Partnering with development teams to resolve complex issues and implement feature requests.. . Documenting procedures, solutions, and standards for both internal use and customer reference.. . Ensuring proactive communication with customers regarding problem resolution and best practices.. . The ideal candidate will bring:. . 3–5 years of experience with PostgreSQL, or 7+ years with other database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, MS SQL, Cassandra) as a senior database administrator or support engineer.. . 3–5 years of cloud platform experience, preferably with AWS, Azure, or GCP.. . 1–2 years of experience with cloud monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or native cloud monitoring solutions.. . Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge.. . Familiarity with PostgreSQL third-party tools (pgpool, slony, pgbouncer, etc.).. . Excellent written and verbal communication skills.. . Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work effectively under pressure.. . Experience liaising with engineering teams and documenting technical processes.. . Preferred / Gives an edge:. . 5–7 years of technical support experience.. . Experience with Python, Golang, or C/C++.. . 3–5 years’ experience with Docker and Kubernetes.. .
