Cloud9 is looking for a passionate and talented . Social Media Coordinator - VALORANT (Contractor, Part Time). to assist with game coverage for our VCT team across social platforms. The ideal candidate is someone with a deep understanding of the VALORANT esports scene, a social media enthusiast with a proven track record of successful game coverage, and able to foster meaningful connections with online communities.. This is a remote part time contractor position open to candidates around the world. . What You’ll Do:. . Manage live game coverage across different social media platforms, including Discord, Twitter (X), Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.. . Manage live game coverage for both Cloud9’s matches and other major VALORANT events.. . Assist with executing comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives.. . Ideate and pitch short-form content and deliverable ideas that reflect the team’s brand and relevant community trends.. . Curate relevant and trending content to maintain an active and relevant online presence.. . Foster a positive online community by actively engaging with followers, responding to comments, and addressing inquiries or concerns.. . . 1+ years of experience in social media management.. . Ability to work flexible hours to align with Pacific Time deadlines.. . Fluent in English, written and spoken.. . Fluency in other languages is a plus, especially Spanish and Portuguese.. . Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate game coverage. . . Proven experience in managing social media platforms (Discord, Twitter (X), Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc). . Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, preferably Photoshop and Premiere Pro.. . Deep understanding of VALORANT, preferably plays VALORANT:. . . Ability to recognize in-game moments, follow the competitive meta, and accurately identify what's happening on screen in real time.. . Strong grasp of the game’s culture, history, memes, and legacy.. . . Strong attention to detail.. . Excellent written and verbal communication skills.. . High empathy and ability to self-regulate emotions when under increasing stress. . . Ability to apply intelligence to practical, real-world scenarios, where a “book solution” doesn’t necessarily exist.. . Strong active listening skills with an emphasis on understanding.
