What You'll Do:. As a Hardware Engineer, you’ll lead the design and development of electronics for our IoT loggers, gateways, and sensor modules. You will:. . Own hardware architecture, schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection. . Bring up and validate new hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and debugging tools (JTAG, SWD). . Coordinate and support EMC, RF, and environmental certification processes (CE, FCC, IEC). . Collaborate with firmware engineers on driver development, peripheral integration, and bootloaders. . Support firmware and Python tooling development for embedded microcontrollers. . Integrate wireless modules (BLE, LTE-M, LoRa, Wi-Fi) and validate RF performance and antenna placement. . Guide hardware documentation, manufacturing test strategies, and lifecycle management. . Continuously improve products through hardware revisions and firmware optimisations. . Work with industrialisation engineers to ensure design for manufacturing and smooth production handover. . Prepare manufacturing deliverables including Gerber files, fabrication outputs, and documentation. . . Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field. . 3+ years of experience designing and validating embedded hardware (IoT, wearables, medical, etc.). . Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and design tools (Altium, KiCad, Mentor). . Hands-on experience with hardware debugging and board bring-up. . Solid understanding of wireless standards (BLE, LTE-M, LoRa, Wi-Fi) and RF integration. . Experience with ultra-low-power design principles. . Strong grasp of design for manufacturing (DFM) and collaboration with industrialisation teams. . Familiarity with PCB fabrication and preparation of complete manufacturing packages. . Language: EN. . Nice to Have. . Experience coordinating EMC, RF, or environmental certifications with external labs. . Experience with peripheral driver development and RTOS. . Python scripting for test automation, lab measurements, or firmware tooling. . Low-level firmware development in C or C++. . Familiarity with secure boot, cryptographic components, or OTA firmware updates. . Background in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical logistics, cold-chain, or medical tech. .
