Accountant . to partner with a fast-growing consumer brand expanding across retail and grocery channels. With increasing transaction volume from distributors, suppliers, and retail partners, this role is critical to managing daily accounting operations, streamlining workflows, and ensuring financial accuracy during a pivotal stage of growth.. In this role, you’ll oversee transactional accounting, supplier invoicing, and billbacks while supporting month-end close and reporting. As an Accountant, your success will be defined by your ability to manage transactional accounting with accuracy, deliver timely reporting, and maintain strong compliance under U.S. GAAP. You’ll balance daily execution with process improvement, ensuring that financial data supports both operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:. Transactional Accounting. . Process high-volume invoices, including billbacks from grocery and distributor partners.. . Oversee supplier invoicing, accrual tracking, and accounts payable (AP).. . Reconcile transactions in QuickBooks and maintain accuracy across financial tools.. . Ensure timely categorization and processing of expenses.. . . Month-End Close & Reporting. . Support month-end close activities with timely reconciliations and reporting.. . Prepare reports to support leadership and outsourced CFO resources.. . Track accruals and monitor the impact of supplier/retailer agreements on margins.. . Provide light forecasting support, including pricing analysis and margin reporting.. . . Compliance & Process Improvement. . Ensure accounting processes adhere to U.S. GAAP standards.. . Identify and implement improvements to invoicing and reporting workflows.. . Collaborate with leadership to reduce reliance on outsourced FP&A tasks.. . . Communication & Collaboration. . Maintain proactive updates on tasks and projects, flagging discrepancies early.. . Provide clear recommendations to resolve inconsistencies or delays.. . Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data supports business decisions.. . Colleagues. You’ll collaborate closely with company leadership to deliver accurate financial data, maintain compliance, and strengthen accounting workflows. . To excel in this role, you should have:. . . Experience: . 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in CPG, retail, or distribution.. . . Technical Skills:. Strong foundation in transactional accounting, accruals, and reconciliations.. . . Compliance Knowledge:. Familiarity with U.S. GAAP standards.. . . Tools:. Proficiency with QuickBooks, Google Sheets/Excel (advanced), and familiarity with Sin7 or similar systems.. . . Business Acumen:.
