As a Payroll Support Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing for a dynamic, multi-state workforce. Working cross-functionally with people operations and finance teams, you'll support onboarding, run payroll cycles, and manage audits while enhancing internal controls. Manage end-to-end payroll processing for exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple U.S. states and international locations.. . Onboard new hires into payroll and benefits systems, including conducting I-9 verification meetings.. . Execute payroll reconciliations and proactively resolve discrepancies in titles, departments, or payout data.. . Maintain accuracy of data within Paylocity and ensure continuous auditing of the HRIS system.. . Respond to employee payroll queries with timeliness and professionalism.. . Handle monthly/semi-monthly contractor payroll, unemployment claim responses, and state tax registrations.. . Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as ACA, HIPAA, ADA, and COBRA.. . Partner with internal teams to support labor law compliance and benefits/payroll education.. . . 3–4 years of hands-on payroll experience, with proven knowledge of multi-state payroll and tax processes.. . Experience using Paylocity is required.. . Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets at an intermediate level or above.. . Familiarity with payroll elements such as garnishments, deductions, FMLA, and workers’ compensation.. . Experience working with U.S. state agencies on payroll tax matters.. . Knowledge of federal and state labor and tax laws.. . Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and data integrity.. . Strong analytical and communication skills in English.. .
