Position Overview. The Business Analyst role will be a key member of our team, working directly with the Leadership Team, as well as Department Heads, to provide data, reporting, analysis, and insight to ensure the business is making the best decisions possible, and that we are presenting the business accurately and with a depth of insight to our Board and our investors. This dynamic role is ideal for a self-starter with startup experience and a proven track record in providing insight through analysis. The successful candidate will demonstrate a depth of knowledge of tools used for data management and analysis, a track record of working with different stakeholders in an organization, and demonstrable success in providing insights to those stakeholders. . Key Responsibilities. Data Analysis and Insight. . Structure and conduct analysis, as needed, including customer retention, meals performance, market performance, business customer performance, etc.. . Provide ad hoc analytics support to team members, delivering consistent, clear, and accurate analysis, inclusive of insight. . Develop a process for self-service analytics with clear instructions, guidelines, and tools for team members to create their own reports. . Business Reporting. . Work with the Leadership Team to develop a standard set of metrics and reports to share internally and externally, including business performance, tenant performance, storefront performance, and customer performance. . Develop and maintain department-level reports for tactical decision-making, working with Operations, Culinary, Business Development, Marketing, and Finance. . Work closely with Finance to ensure financial reporting and business reporting are aligned, and support financial reporting, as needed. . Data Management and Structure. . Work with our Head of Engineering, to whom you will be a Direct Report, to organize our data, ensure ongoing data capture is accurate and consistent, and that our data cube continues to evolve to support the needs of the business. . Create and maintain documentation of our data environment and processes, including any tables, reports, and queries that we are using. . Review all archival data, tables, and queries and ensure they are updated to provide consistent views with current, or retired from our system. . Impact:. . Experience:. . Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a data analyst, with specific experience conducting customer analysis, business analysis, and product performance analysis. . Proficiency in SQL queries, as well as experience with Metabase, Tableau, or other off-the-shelf analytics and data management tools. . Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other analytical tools. . Experience working in a start-up environment, with online retail sales, and/or with food sellers is a plus. .
