What you'll do. As the . Manager, Commercial Negotiations & Projects. , you’ll . build and lead.  our commercial contracting program from the ground up. You’ll shape project outcomes, align stakeholders, and accelerate the clean energy transition by:. . . Lead High-Stakes Negotiations: . Own the full contract lifecycle—including drafting, redlining, stakeholder alignment, and execution. You’ll take point on Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Community Solar Leases, Interconnection Agreements, and Turnkey EPC & O&M contracts.. . . Translate Complexity Into Clarity: . Bridge legal, financial, and technical requirements to craft terms that are clear, financeable, and aligned with both customer and provider priorities.. . . Orchestrate Project Execution: . Serve as the connective tissue across teams—ensuring timelines are met, deliverables are aligned, and communication flows smoothly between internal stakeholders, customers, utilities, and providers.. . . Champion the Customer Perspective: . Leverage your understanding of project economics, tax equity, site-level risk, and real estate dynamics to advocate for customer value in every commercial conversation.. . . Build for Scale: . Continuously improve our contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and internal workflows. You’ll identify patterns, remove friction, and lay the foundation for a scalable, team-ready function.. . If you bring experience in several of the areas below—and are excited to build a critical function from scratch—we’d love to hear from you.. . . Extensive experience.  (typically 6–10+ years) negotiating and managing commercial contracts, ideally in solar, energy storage, or infrastructure.. . . Demonstrated success.  leading negotiations for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), community solar leases, and interconnection agreements for commercial-scale projects.. . Strong working knowledge of . tax equity structures. , third-party ownership models (e.g., partnership flip, sale-leaseback), and the financial drivers that shape project success (IRR, NPV, customer savings).. . Experience working with . commercial real estate portfolios. , including multi-tenant buildings, with an understanding of rooftop site control challenges, structural reviews, and roof warranties.. . Deep understanding of . utility interconnection processes.  for distributed generation, including grid export rules, non-export configurations, and navigating approvals with utilities, inspectors, and AHJs.. . Skilled at . cross-functional collaboration.  with legal, finance, sales, and engineering teams—bringing clarity to complex commercial negotiations.. . Highly . organized. and . self-directed. , with a track record of thriving in . remote, fast-moving environments.  with evolving priorities.. . . Bonus:.  Background in project development, clean energy finance, or legal work (e.g., JD, paralegal, or in-house counsel) related to energy or commercial real estate.. . Location & Travel. .
