Graza is looking for a Category Development Analyst to join our growing team, on a mission to unlock incremental distribution and maximum growth in the Olive Oil category and beyond. . . Role Purpose. We are seeking a strategic, data-driven, and collaborative Category Analyst to join our team and align customer and Graza strategies. This role is responsible for analyzing market trends, consumer insights, and sales data to develop category strategies that optimize assortment, pricing, promotion, and placement. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Insights, and Finance to help fuel Graza’s long-term ambitions internally and externally.. Role Responsibilities. Category Management. . Lead the development and execution of category growth plans based on market analysis, shopper insights, and competitive intelligence.. . Identify Retail Sales opportunities through syndicated and shipment data analysis, including distribution gaps, white space in market, and merchandising, to support Graza sales initiatives. . Partner with key retail accounts to present category reviews and growth recommendations.. . Develop impactful customer-specific category development recommendations in support of key business initiatives.. . Create and maintain both general and customer specific selling stories through determining the most compelling scan and shipment data insights. . Act as a strategic category expert internally, collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Innovation, and Finance.. . . Qualifications. . 1-3+ years of experience in Category Management within CPG . . Proficiency in syndicated data platforms (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, Numerator). . Familiarity in working directly with headquarter level customers. . Proven experience creating clear data stories in Powerpoint and/or Google Slides required. . Proficiency with direct customer and distributor data (i.e. UNFI, KeHE, Whole Foods Market, Target, and Walmart). . Some travel required. . Preferred:. . MBA or advanced analytics training. . Experience with retailer-specific data portals (e.g., Walmart Luminate, Kroger 84.51). . Experience working with cross-functional and customer-facing teams. . Preference will be given to candidates that can work 4 days per week out of our satellite office in Austin, TX or Brooklyn, NY, however qualified remote candidates will be considered..
