We’re looking for a Senior LAMP Developer who will work directly with the CEO/Founder to expand the platform’s capabilities. Expect hands-on work across PHP/MySQL, Linux/Apache, jQuery, AWS, and CMS platforms (with a strong preference for Joomla).. This project focuses on scaling a CRM tailored to the unique workflows of third-party utility providers—building APIs, integrations, plugins, and high-impact features that teams use in the field every day.. Location: Must reside and have work authorization in Latin America.. Availability: Must be available to work with significant overlap with Mountain Standard Time (MST).. The Ideal Candidate Has:. . 7+ years of professional software development experience. . . 5+ years working across the . LAMP stack. (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). . . Strong proficiency with . jQuery. and modern JavaScript fundamentals. . . Hands-on experience with CMS platforms; . Joomla. is a major plus (plugins, components, templates). . . Ability to design and build RESTful APIs and endpoints from scratch (auth, rate limiting, pagination, versioning). . . Familiarity with . AWS. (infrastructure, hosting, storage) and basic cloud security best practices. . . Experience collaborating with Customer Support/QA to triage, reproduce, and resolve production bugs. . . Comfort operating independently in a fast-moving, founder-led environment—organized, punctual, and ownership-driven. . . Bonus: Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (e.g., . BigQuery. ) and integrations (e.g., Outlook add-ins). . . Strong product sense—knows when an MVP is “good enough” to ship and when to harden. . . . Design, implement, and maintain backend features using PHP/MySQL on Linux/Apache—ship high-quality code quickly. . . Build and document . Joomla. extensions (components, plugins, modules) and front-end behaviors with jQuery. . . Own performance tuning, query optimization, and data modeling to keep the CRM fast and scalable. . . Deploy and operate features on . AWS. (hosting, storage, configs), ensuring reliability and security baselines. . . Partner directly with the Founder to prioritize the roadmap, make pragmatic architecture trade-offs, and challenge ideas thoughtfully. . . Triages issues with Support/QA; perform root-cause analysis, write reproducible steps, and deliver fixes with tests. . . Create concise technical docs and lightweight runbooks for deployments, rollbacks, and operational tasks. . .
