We are currently looking for a Senior Security Director, Managed Services in the United States.. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Security Director to lead the Managed Security Services team, overseeing the delivery of operational security solutions for key clients. In this role, you will manage a team of security administrators, engineers, and technical leads, ensuring the successful monitoring, response, and mitigation of security events. You will drive the development and implementation of security operations frameworks, threat management strategies, and service management processes. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise, leadership, and client engagement, with the ability to influence organizational security practices, mentor team members, and continuously improve operational efficiency. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of service delivery while advancing the capabilities of the managed security organization.. . Accountabilities. Lead and manage a team of security operations personnel, including administrators, engineers, and technical leads.. Develop and execute service management strategies to optimize staff, tools, and processes for maximum operational efficiency.. Oversee security event monitoring, incident identification, assessment, response, and reporting, ensuring SLA compliance.. Revise and enhance processes to strengthen the Security Operations Framework and improve operational performance.. Coordinate with stakeholders, build positive relationships, and support managed security specialist sales teams.. Establish team development programs, including career paths, training on security tools, threat analysis, and soft skills.. Maintain reporting and metrics dashboards to monitor managed security services performance and present insights to leadership.. Ensure integration of standard and non-standard logs into SIEM, manage vendor relationships, and guide threat management initiatives.. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.. 5+ years of experience in IT Management or Operations Management in a multi-customer environment.. Strong knowledge of incident management and response, threat management, and security concepts (cyber-attacks, threat vectors, risk management).. Hands-on experience with security device management, including SIEM (Elastic, AlienVault), EDR (Sophos, Crowdstrike, Elastic), Vulnerability Management (Tenable, Rapid7, Qualys), and other security tools.. Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix), applications, databases, and middleware in the context of security threats.. Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring teams and driving operational excellence.. Excellent oral and written communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and clients.. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.. Preferred certifications: CISSP, CCSP, GDAT, GCIA, GNFA.. .
