Role Summary. As . Head of Marketing. , you’ll lead all brand and performance marketing efforts—from storytelling and brand development to customer acquisition, retention, and partnerships. You’ll own the marketing roadmap, report to the CEO/Founder, and oversee a multi-function marketing team spanning acquisition, CRM/retention, content and creative strategy, media buying, and partnerships.. Key Responsibilities. Brand & Positioning. . Define and evolve the brand voice, positioning, and visual identity across digital and physical channels. . . Lead high-level storytelling through lifestyle content, brand campaigns, and strategic partnerships. . . Ensure brand consistency across product launches, collaborations, and retail partnerships. . . Customer Acquisition & Growth. . Drive acquisition strategy across paid social, search, influencer, affiliate, programmatic, and retail media. . . Oversee media planning, campaign execution, and creative test-and-learn strategies to optimize CAC and scale profitably. . . Coordinate launch campaigns for seasonal product drops, collaborations, and retail expansions. . . Retention & Lifecycle Marketing. . Supervise customer lifecycle initiatives—onboarding, reorder reminders, loyalty programs, and win-backs. . . Integrate email, SMS, and social remarketing to maximize repeat purchase and LTV. . . Apply data-driven retention strategies: cohort analysis, segmentation, personalization, and continuous optimization. . . Content & Community. . Lead content strategy highlighting customer stories, outdoor lifestyle inspiration, and product education. . . Scale influencer, brand ambassador, and lifestyle partnerships. . . Grow social media ecosystems and user-generated content (UGC) reflecting a “Made for the Outdoors” ethos. . . Analytics & Financial Leadership. . Translate marketing activity into measurable outcomes: ROI, incremental revenue, and funnel growth. . . Collaborate with Finance and Operations to forecast spend, model growth scenarios, and monitor profitability. . . Set and track KPIs across acquisition, retention, and brand health. . . Team Leadership & Collaboration. . Build and mentor a lean, high-performing marketing team. . . Align cross-functionally with product development, retail operations, and customer success. . . Foster a culture of creativity, testing, and continuous improvement. . . Qualifications. . 8–12+ years in marketing leadership, ideally in apparel, outdoor performance, or direct-to-consumer retail. . . Proven success scaling a lifestyle or technical apparel brand from growth to scale. . . Expertise in both performance marketing (digital acquisition) and brand marketing (content, partnerships, community). . . Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing and CRM tools. . . Data-driven mindset with experience in analytics, ROI modeling, and A/B testing. . . Skilled team builder and communicator able to operate strategically and tactically. . .
