Head of Finance at Maneva. About Maneva . Maneva is an AI services company founded by a former Google DeepMind researcher, focused on transforming manufacturing operations through advanced AI. We enable autonomous factory operation and optimization by generating AI-driven actions and insights using off-the-shelf hardware or existing vision systems. . Our solutions address real-world manufacturing challenges across product and equipment inspection, production efficiency, safety, and operational performance—delivering measurable impact without requiring heavy infrastructure changes. . Role Overview . Maneva is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead all financial functions and serve as a core member of the company’s leadership team. This role is critical to building the financial foundation required to scale Maneva from early traction through sustained, large-scale growth. . As Head of Finance, you will own financial strategy, systems, and discipline across the company—partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team to support growth, capital efficiency, and long-term value creation. You will transition finance operations from a fractional model to a fully owned, internal function and build the financial infrastructure needed to scale a high-growth SaaS business. . This is a hands-on, builder role suited for a finance leader who has successfully scaled startups from early revenue to $100M+ and understands both strategic finance and day-to-day operational rigor. . Key Responsibilities . Financial Leadership & Strategy . Own Maneva’s end-to-end financial function, including budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and long-term financial planning. . Develop and maintain robust financial models to support growth planning, scenario analysis, and strategic decision-making. . Partner with the CEO and leadership team to evaluate business performance, unit economics, and investment priorities. . Establish financial discipline and operating cadence appropriate for a rapidly scaling SaaS company. . Financial Operations & Systems . Take over day-to-day financial ownership from the fractional CFO, including oversight of bookkeeping and accounting operations. . Implement, optimize, and scale financial systems and processes (e.g., QuickBooks, Rippling, expense management, reporting workflows). . Design and enforce financial policies, controls, and approval frameworks to support responsible growth. . Collaborate closely with Business Operations to ensure alignment across planning, execution, and reporting. . Reporting, KPIs & Insights . Define, track, and report on key financial and operational KPIs across the business. . Produce clear, actionable financial reporting for leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making. . Ensure timely, accurate visibility into burn, runway, revenue performance, and expense trends. . Fundraising & Capital Readiness . Keep fundraising financials, models, and supporting materials up to date and investor-ready. . Support diligence processes and investor communications as needed, including participation in relevant email threads and preparation of financial materials. . Ensure the company is structurally and financially prepared for future fundraising events. . Grants & Non-Dilutive Funding . Own financial management and reporting for grants and non-dilutive funding programs. . Ensure compliance with grant requirements, tracking of eligible expenses, and accurate reporting. . Risk, Compliance & Governance . Oversee tax, compliance, and regulatory considerations in partnership with external advisors. . Ensure strong financial controls, audit readiness, and risk management practices as the company scales. . Qualifications . Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with demonstrated success scaling a startup or high-growth SaaS company from early traction to $100M+ in revenue. . Startup Scaling: Proven ability to build financial infrastructure, processes, and systems in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments. . Strategic & Operational Depth: Comfortable operating at both the strategic level (models, planning, growth economics) and the operational level (systems, controls, execution). . SaaS Acumen: Strong understanding of SaaS business models, revenue recognition, unit economics, and growth metrics. . Systems Builder: Experience implementing and scaling finance systems and tooling from relatively lightweight setups to more robust platforms. . Leadership Presence: Trusted partner to executive leadership with the judgment and credibility to influence company-wide decisions. . Execution-Oriented: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable, with a bias toward action and ownership. . Remote Collaboration: Effective communicator able to operate seamlessly within a distributed leadership team. . Company Location: United States.
