This is a key role, predominantly based in the Southern Region, offering the flexibility of working from home while being actively involved across our national Biffa sites.. This role within our manufacturing waste solutions division is primarily responsible for managing staff and resources across a portfolio of contracts, ensuring client and company expectations are met while staying within financial targets and company procedures. You’ll drive health, safety, and environmental compliance, manage budgets, and engage with stakeholders, all while delivering excellent customer service and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.. Showcase your ability to meet KPIs and drive best practice in cost, service, and resource management. . . Manage budgets effectively and address variances with clear action plans. . . Support and develop staff, creating an environment where teams can excel. . . Oversee and coordinate resources to boost productivity and service standards. . . Set clear objectives with staff and managers, monitoring performance and taking corrective action. . . Drive service improvements, innovation, and client satisfaction across contracts. . . Report on KPIs, financials, and performance while managing stakeholder expectations. . . Our essential requirements.. . Proven experience as an Operations Manager (or similar) within services, logistics, or waste management. . . Strong financial acumen with Profit & Loss management experience. . . Skilled in people management, health & safety, and working within unionised, multi-shift environments. . . Relevant industry qualifications (CPC/COTC, IOSH or equivalent) with up-to-date knowledge of legislation. . .
