Product Designer at ANNA Money. About the Role. We’re looking for someone who can own an entire product area from problem to solution. You’ll bridge product thinking and UX design, working directly with our design system and AI-native tools to deliver end-to-end.. This isn’t about pixel-perfect craft or creating new design patterns, it's about solving problems, gathering requirements, designing solutions, and building prototypes that can be validated with customers before being handed to developers for implementation. You’ll work “on rails” with our design system, which means you focus on the right solution, not reinventing components.. What You’ll Do. Own product areas end-to-end: Take a goal and drive it from discovery to validated prototype ready for development. Deep dive into complex domains: Research technical requirements, understand regulatory or industry complexity, and translate it into simple user experiences. Gather requirements independently: Talk to subject matter experts, developers, customer teams, and other stakeholders to understand what needs to be built. Design user flows and solutions: Map out the UX, identify edge cases, and design solutions that actually solve the problem. Build working prototypes: Use AI tools and our design system to create functional prototypes. Validate with customers: Test prototypes with users, gather feedback, refine the solution. Hand off to engineering: Prepare clear specs and work closely with developers to ensure smooth implementation.. What This Role Isn’t. This isn’t a traditional UX/UI designer role focused on visual craft. We’re not looking for someone who needs heavy direction or wants to be given tasks. This isn’t about creating new design patterns - we have a design system for that. You won’t be working in isolation; you’ll be embedded with product teams. Why This Role Exists. ANNA is evolving. We’re building with AI-native tools and a comprehensive design system, which means the shape of product and design work is changing. We need people who can move fast, own outcomes, and bridge the gap between product strategy and designed solutions.. You’ll have:. Significant autonomy over your product area. Direct access to engineers, stakeholders, and users. The tools and support to work efficiently (design system, AI tools, great team). Training and support to adopt AI-native workflows if you’re still learning. Real problems to solve that impact small businesses across the UK. Your Background Might Look Like. We know this is a unique role, so your path here might be unconventional. You might be:. A senior UX designer ready to take on more product strategy and ownership. A product manager with strong design skills and hands-on prototyping experience. Someone who’s worked in start-ups wearing both PM and design hats. A designer who’s been increasingly doing product work and wants to formalise it. A product designer who naturally thinks about business outcomes and user needs equally. What matters most is your ability to think strategically while executing tactically, and your hunger to own outcomes rather than just deliverables.. Must-haves:. Strong UX design experience with proven ability to own product areas independently - not just take tasks. Comfortable with ambiguity and complexity - you thrive in unstructured environments. Proficiency with Figma and component-based design systems. Experience with user testing and research - you know how to validate solutions with real users. Can work within design system constraints rather than designing from scratch. Strong problem-solving mindset: you understand the problem before jumping to solutions. Business maturity: you understand trade-offs, prioritisation, and delivery. Proactive and resourceful: you find answers rather than waiting to be told. Willingness to adopt AI-native workflows and learn tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Bolt, or v0. Product management experience or responsibilities (roadmapping, prioritisation, stakeholder management). Already using AI tools to build prototypes or speed up your workflow. Experience bridging design and product strategy. Nice-to-haves:. Experience in fintech, tax, or compliance products. Background working in lean, fast-moving start-ups. Company Location: United Kingdom.
