Dive deep into strategic financial oversight and be the cornerstone of our client relationships. As CFO, you'll be the strategic lead on client engagements, mentor our skilled team, navigate complex technical matters, and aid us in building the foundation and infrastructure needed to help our clients and ALC grow. . We aim to be our client's true strategic partner and an extension of their team. As such, as the CFO, you will:. . Lead the full client relationship, providing high-level financial expertise, strategic advice, and actionable recommendations, as well as manage the team. . . Guide clients through complex financial decisions, including forecasting, capital structure, grant management and risk management. . . Collaborate with clients to set long-term financial strategies, aligning initiatives with their operational and growth goals. . . Proactively lead quarterly business reviews, ensuring ongoing alignment with client needs and uncovering opportunities for value creation. . . Translate financial data into clear business insights, guiding clients to improve efficiency, profitability, and scalability. . . Navigate financial complexity and uncertainty with confidence, offering calm, expert leadership during high-stakes moments. . . Serve as a strategic advisor on business decisions beyond accounting, including operations and organizational planning.. . Represent ALC in external communications with board members, investors, and other stakeholders, projecting credibility and strategic vision.. . Identify and recommend innovative accounting tools, trends, and technologies to improve client outcomes. . . Deliver thought leadership in one or more areas of finance, serving as a recognized expert both internally and externally.. . The successful candidate:. . Embodies ALC's commitment to WOW professionally and CARE personally, ensuring clients feel valued, supported, and understood.. . . Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. . MAcc, MBA, or MSA preferred. . Minimum 15 years experience in accounting or finance roles; 6+ in leadership roles. . Extensive experience with non-profit and/or not-for-profit organizations. . CPA highly preferred. . Public Accounting experience highly preferred. . Mastery of cloud-based accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, etc). . An uncompromising sense of integrity and ethics. . Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and guide a remote team effectively. . Company Location: United States.
