Virtual Desktop Engineer-541010 at Delaware Nation Industries. Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is a prime contractor providing manpower and support of IT Operations and Maintenance within a Federal Agency.  We are currently interviewing for a Virtual Desktop Engineer to support an agency serving more than 4000 users operating in Microsoft Azure.  This position requires knowledge of operating in government space with change management and adherence to NIST security frameworks.  The successful candidate will be capable of working on an Agile Scrum team to develop solutions and effectively communicate progress to the customer.. Essential Responsibilities:. . Design, deploy and maintain secure and scalable Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (AVD) environments to meet functional and compliance requirements.. . Implement infrastructure in accordance with NIST 800-53 and DoD STIG security controls.. . Collaborate with different functional teams to gather requirements and communicate progress.. . Optimize virtual desktop performance, resource allocation, and cost-efficiency within Microsoft Azure.. . Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtual desktop, user access, and security.. . Automate deployment and configuration using Terraform, ARM templates, and Powershell custom extensions.. . Support endpoint hardening, patching, and configuration based on DISA guidelines. . Minimum qualifications: . . Experience in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), for pooled and personal deployments.. . Experience with virtual environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, FSLogix, and profile management.. . Familiarity with maintenance solutions Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, Defender 365.. . Comptia Security+ or greater IAT certification.. . Preferred but not required:. . Microsoft Azure Architect Expert (AZ-305).. . Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140).. . Experience in with dev-ops workflow using VS Code, GIT, and Pipelines.. . Minimum Education Required: . . BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related IT discipline.. . ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:  An additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted for a BS or BA degree. . . Ability to pass a high-level background investigation. . Other Duties:.   .
