Regional Director at Rise Against Hunger. Starting Annual Pay ~ $80,000. This role will work from home (WFH), and can be located in any state within the United States where Rise Against Hunger currently operates.. POSITION SUMMARY. The Regional Director will lead a team of volunteer and donor engagement staff including within a defined region. The Director will lead and develop staff on revenue generation, consistent messaging, presentation skills, program promotion, managing logistics, and personnel management. They will be the primary oversight of our overall sales process and day-to-day management thereof. The Regional Director serves as stop-gap meal facilitation and location management during position vacancies and may be called upon to support a wide breadth of program execution. A servant-leader focused on developing staff talent, the Regional Director will ensure high standards for a quality volunteer and donor experience, achieve meal production and fundraising goals, generate program growth, and manage staff across the regions . They will oversee Regional fundraising activity as well, delivering on a significant contribution goal beyond meal packaging. . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. . 40% People Management & Development -. responsible for leading to improve capability, capacity, and in support of their professional growth and development.. Implements effective leadership and development tools to support team growth throughout all Donor and Volunteer engagement functions. Recruits, develops, trains, and retains highly qualified and passionate staff members. Holds team accountable for delivering results in their region, including a high revenue target. Consistently provides constructive feedback through 1:1 check-ins and conducts monthly performance check-ins. Identifies top talent and proactively works to develop high potentials. Plan and lead regional team meetings to support strategy implementation and operational improvements. Ensure regional team meetings are planned and executed in support of each location’s success. 30% Program Leadership -. responsible for the implementation of initiatives in support of organizational goals. Provide guidance and leadership on developing targeted strategies for Donor Engagement, including direct asking, proposal development, and impact reporting. Oversees total revenue approach in the region including meal packaging and unrestricted funds. . Mobilizes people, financial, and time resources effectively. Develops plans to utilize volunteer, fundraising, and partnership opportunities effectively to grow and improve the health of the program. . Proposes and leads the execution of change to improve the volunteer, donor, beneficiary, and staff experience. . Collaborates with all internal departments to implement strategic objectives.. Manages volunteer event lifecycle by training staff and working with external parties to bring our mobile volunteer event from a lead to coordination, execution, and concluding with follow-up activities. . Serves as a subject matter expert and liaison to link effective practices to day-to-day execution across all donor and volunteer engagement. . 20% Operational Efficiency & Cost Management . - responsible for developing effective and efficient processes across the region to deliver a consistent experience while working within a budget. Make strategic decisions that affect the programs and organization as a whole. Meets all reporting and deadlines on a consistent basis through effective location management. Identifies operational room for improvement and proposes change either in the system, or on a location level.. Ensures each program maintains a sustainable financial position through tracking and managing expense and revenue generated by each location using monthly profit and loss statements as well as annual reports.. Develops annual projections and budget for the region.. Ensures that each location’s practices meet federal and state regulations for cleanliness, food storage, and food processing imposed by the USDA and FDA. 10% Communication & Change Management . - responsible for leading the implementation and effective communication of organization-wide processes, policies, procedures, etc within the region. Responsible for communicating and implementation of all CE initiatives and changes to ensure consistency region in the delivery and quality of the meal packaging event. Develops department-wide Objectives and Key Results in support of the strategic plan, contributing to the development and execution of annual operational plan. Hold self and others accountable for following implementation plans and consistency. Contributes to the development of hiring and ongoing training programs to support skill development and consistency . Distills pertinent information from the organization into communication to the region and ensures understanding. . . Perform other duties as assigned or become necessary by supervisor.. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES. Directly oversees the operations of 4-7 Rise Against Hunger physical or satellite locations . Directly manages 4-7 donor and volunteer engagement professionals and an administrative or other meal packing facilitation staff as assigned. Indirectly manages a team of 10-30 staff across assigned regions and provides interim management in instances of a vacancy on the direct team. . Bachelor's degree or 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. . 3+ years experience leading and developing a team towards achieving financial goals. . Fundraising and sales experience. . Proficiency with Microsoft Office, database, and internet software. . Must be able to work a flexible schedule including frequent weekends and some evenings. This position may travel up to 30% on an annual basis. . . Current valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with a minimum of 7 years of driving; a current passport is a plus. . Must be able to comply with DOT regulations, including maintaining DOT certification. . Flexibility: willing to handle diverse tasks from warehouse cleaning to giving presentations. . Ability to lift from 50 pounds up to 75 pounds and move pallets weighing up to 2,500 lbs.. . Ability to initiate, follow through, and complete tasks. .
