The Controller will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations for multiple client accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, adherence to GAAP, and timely month-end close. This role requires strong leadership, technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse clients.. . 💼 . This is a remote position with a required work schedule of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time (CST).. . Key Responsibilities:. . Lead and manage all accounting operations for assigned client accounts, including general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, and bank reconciliations. . . Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process; ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. . . Prepare and review internal financial statements and provide variance analysis and commentary. . . Maintain and implement internal controls and accounting best practices across client environments. . . Ensure client compliance with U.S. GAAP and any relevant regulatory requirements. . . Coordinate with client tax advisors and auditors as needed. . . Train, supervise, and mentor client accounting staff or offshore support teams. . . Partner with US Controllers, CFOs and senior finance leadership to deliver insights and support strategic decision-making for the client. . . Assist in creating and implementing financial policies, procedures, and systems improvements. . . Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities. . . Qualifications:. . Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. . . Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller role. . . Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses, ideally within a multi-client or outsourced CFO/controller firm. . . Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks. . . Proficiency with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero, or similar. . . Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with cloud-based finance tools. . . Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills. . . Ability to work independently and manage multiple client relationships with professionalism and care. . . Preferred Traits:. .
