To excel in this role, you must have . in-depth knowledge of U.S. medical billing software. and a strong understanding of . U.S. medical insurance policies.. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: . . . Working Hours:. . This role requires you to work . USA hours,. Mon - Fri, from 9am to 6pm EST time (16h00pm to 01h00am South African time - subject to change depending on daylight savings). . . . Work Environment:. . This is a fully remote working role.. . . . Internet Requirements:. A . fixed fibre line. with a minimum speed of . 25 Mbps (upload & download). and the ability to support a . wired Ethernet connection. is mandatory. . Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.. . . . Power Backup:. A . reliable power backup solution. is required to manage . load shedding and power outages. . . Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.. . . Responsibilities:. . Preparing and submitting billing data and medical claims to insurance companies. . Ensuring each patient’s medical information is accurate and up to date. . Preparing bills and invoices and document amounts due to medical procedures and services. . Verify insurance coverage and eligibility. . Communicate with healthcare providers regarding billing practices. . Follow up on unpaid claims and denials. . Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and guidelines. . Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy. . Maintain accurate records on customer interactions, transaction, feedback, etc.. . Collaborate with colleagues and different departments to resolve complex issues. . Provides customer support through different communication channels (Phone, email, chat). . Resolve issues & accommodate customer inquiries to ensure satisfaction with products or services. .
