About the Role:. Cypris is looking for a detail-oriented and curious Research Analyst to join our growing Research Services team. In this role, you’ll work directly with innovation and R&D leaders to deliver strategic insights derived from global datasets including patents, scientific literature, company activity, and market trends.. You’ll play a consultative role supporting our customers through custom research projects while playing a key role in helping them understand emerging technologies, evaluate competitors, and making data-backed decisions around new product development and innovation strategy.. In this role, you will: . . Conduct research and analysis across technical and commercial datasets (scientific papers, patents, market activity, product data sheets, company data, etc.). . Author custom reports and formulate insights for enterprise customers in collaboration with our Customer Success and Sales teams. . Identify trends in innovation activity, investment, and research within key technology areas. . Work cross-functionally to support product development and platform improvements by surfacing user feedback and unmet research needs. . Translate complex technical data into clear, digestible insights for business and R&D stakeholders. . Contribute to the development of internal research methodologies and knowledge frameworks. . A Key Candidate Will Have: . . 2–4 years of experience in a research, strategy, consulting, or analyst role (experience in innovation, R&D, or IP strategy is a plus). . A strong analytical mindset and comfort working with both qualitative and quantitative data. . Excellent writing and communication skills—you can distill complex findings into client-ready reports. . Familiarity with academic literature, patents, or technical datasets. . Proficiency with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and research databases; bonus if you have experience with SQL, Python, or data visualization tools. . A collaborative and proactive attitude with strong attention to detail. . Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment. . . Company Location: United States.
