You will also mentor colleagues on best practices in engineering, ML system design, and data processing, while occasionally applying your skills in field operations to observe and optimize real-world outcomes. Accountabilities:. ·         Architect, implement, and maintain decision science libraries and frameworks for high-impact projects.. ·         Build tooling to support rapid experimentation, evaluation, and simulation, enabling fast iteration from R&D to production.. ·         Develop robust, testable, and composable code in alignment with engineering best practices.. ·         Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and domain experts to design scalable systems for decision support.. ·         Transform experimental models and outputs into repeatable, organized, and production-ready pipelines.. ·         Occasionally travel to field sites to observe operations and inform the design of new tools and technologies.. ·         5+ years of experience in decision science or related fields with a strong software engineering focus; 10+ years preferred.. ·         Proven track record of building production-quality data processing solutions or tooling that deliver tangible impact.. ·         Proficiency in Python and scientific libraries such as NumPy, xarray, or equivalent.. ·         Strong understanding of ML concepts, including statistical, traditional, and deep-learning approaches.. ·         Experience working with measured scientific data and visualizing results for domain experts.. ·         Knowledge of MLOps and developing robust ML systems for experimental and production workflows.. ·         Ability to tackle complex problems in novel domains, often with limited or noisy data.. ·         Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with stakeholders from diverse technical and non-technical backgrounds.. ·         Self-motivated, with a drive to take ownership of projects and continuously improve workflows..
