Draftsperson (Stone/Architectural Detailing) at Forma Stone. The overall purpose of this role is to translate actual site measures created in the Laser Templater software, to SeCad drafting software in preparation for machine programming. The draftsperson performs a key role in uniting the gap between design, production, and installation. Main Responsibilities. The main responsibilities include the translation of precise technical drawings provided by the measurer/builder that guide the fabrication process of stone products such as benchtops, alfresco BBQs, and other architectural elements.. Key Roles of a Draftsperson in Forma. 1.       . Technical Drawing and Detailing. – Generate shop drawings that include precise measurements, edge profiles, thickness, and cutouts based the details provided by the site measurer.. 2.       . Understanding Site Measurements. – Ensure field measurements are accurately translated into production-ready drawings. Interpret site measures/templates to as-built drawings accurately.. 3.       . Team Coordination. – Work closely with stonemasons, schedulers, and purchasers to provide realistic job timetables.. 4.       . Quality Assurance. – Double-check dimensions and edge profiles to prevent costly errors in cutting and installation.. 5.       . Revision Management. – Retrace and track drawing updates and revisions due to site changes, client wants, or fabrication limitations.. Importance in Business Success.
