Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Netherlands at GoGlobal. We are looking for a highly experienced and meticulous . Payroll SME (Manager level). to lead and manage payroll operations in the . Netherlands. . This role is pivotal in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll services for our clients. You will act as a trusted advisor on Dutch payroll legislation, processes, and best practices, from onboarding through to ongoing support.. As the Payroll Manager for the Netherlands, you will drive high-quality service delivery, lead implementations, and support clients with expert guidance on local compliance and statutory obligations.. Roles & Responsibilities:. Payroll Management and Compliance. . Manage and oversee monthly payroll processing for clients in the Netherlands, ensuring full compliance with Dutch tax and labour laws.. . Ensure accurate calculation and remittance of statutory deductions including income tax, social security (SVB), pension contributions, and employee benefits.. . Keep abreast of legislative changes from Belastingdienst and other regulatory bodies, ensuring payroll processes remain compliant.. . Support payroll system setup, configuration, and data integration in line with local requirements.. . Client Onboarding and Advisory. . Lead end-to-end onboarding for new clients, including payroll system configuration, parallel runs, and go-live activities.. . Serve as the main point of contact for client payroll matters in the Netherlands, advising on compliance, best practices, and process optimization.. . Address and resolve payroll-related queries from clients and employees efficiently and professionally.. . Subject Matter Expertise and Team Leadership. . Act as the escalation point for complex or exceptional Dutch payroll cases.. . Collaborate with internal teams across functions and geographies to ensure seamless service.. . Mentor and coach junior team members; contribute to training initiatives and internal knowledge base development.. . Support workforce planning and team resourcing within the Netherlands payroll function.. . Continuous Improvement and Transformation. . Monitor updates in Dutch payroll legislation and ensure timely implementation of changes.. . Drive process improvements and automation to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and accuracy.. . Participate in regional or global payroll transformation initiatives, representing Dutch payroll requirements.. . . Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Dutch payroll, ideally within a BPO, shared services, or multi-client environment.. . Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll operations and client implementations.. . Deep understanding of Dutch payroll regulations, including tax, pension, social insurance, 30% ruling, holiday allowance, and year-end processes.. . Proficient in Dutch payroll systems, system configuration experience is a plus.. . Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset.. . Strong client-service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.. . Ability to explain complex Dutch payroll concepts in a clear, user-friendly manner.. . High attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organizational skills.. . Self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.. .
