We are seeking a strategic and influential Director of Application Architecture to lead our enterprise-wide application strategy and govern a diverse team of application architects. This executive leadership role is responsible for defining the vision, roadmap, and standards for our entire application portfolio. You will guide a team of architects dedicated to specific business and technology domains, including Corporate Applications, Security, Strategic Marketing, Customer Experience, and Contact Center technologies. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader who can translate business needs into robust, scalable, and secure architectural solutions, driving innovation and ensuring technology acts as a catalyst for business growth.. Strategic & Architectural Leadership:. . Develop and own the enterprise application architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring tight alignment with overall business goals and digital transformation initiatives.. . Lead the creation and governance of architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across all application domains to ensure consistency, quality, and velocity.. . Drive application modernization initiatives, guiding the transition from legacy systems to modern, cloud-native, and service-oriented architectures.. . Champion a culture of innovation, evaluating emerging technologies, and providing architectural direction for their adoption in areas relevant to the business.. . Serve as the primary architectural authority, providing expert guidance to executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams on complex application-related decisions.. . Domain-Specific Architectural Oversight:. Lead and mentor a team of architects, ensuring architectural integrity and strategic alignment across the following key horizontals:. . . Corporate & Enterprise Applications:. Oversee the architecture for core business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS), ensuring they are scalable, integrated, and meet the evolving needs of the business.. . . Customer & Agent Experience:. Direct the architectural strategy for all customer and agent-facing technologies, including marketing platforms and digital experience solutions, to deliver a seamless and engaging user journey.. . . Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS):. Lead the architectural vision for our contact center platform, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and integrated with other enterprise systems to enhance customer service capabilities.. . . Application & Platform Security:. Partner with the CISO organization to embed security into the application lifecycle. Oversee the architecture for identity and access management (ADAM) and other platform security controls, ensuring our applications are secure by design.. . . Direct & Embedded Systems:. Provide architectural governance for specialized and embedded application solutions, ensuring they align with enterprise standards and strategy.. . Executive Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:. . Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of principal and senior architects, fostering a collaborative environment of technical excellence and business acumen.. . Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with C-level executives, business unit leaders, and engineering teams to ensure architectural solutions meet enterprise-wide objectives.. . Act as a key influencer and communicator, articulating complex architectural concepts and their business value to diverse audiences, from technical experts to non-technical executives.. . Partner with infrastructure, data, and security teams to ensure a holistic and cohesive enterprise architecture.. . . . Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.. . Strong experience in information technology, with at least 10 years in an application or solutions architecture role.. . . . Minimum of 5 years in a formal leadership capacity, with proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing senior architects and technical staff.. . Demonstrable experience leading architecture for a diverse set of application domains, such as corporate systems, customer-facing platforms, and security.. . Proven track record of developing and implementing enterprise-wide application architecture strategies and roadmaps.. . . . Expert knowledge of modern application architecture principles, including microservices, API-first design, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native patterns.. . Strong experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).. . Familiarity with technologies and strategies across the key domains:. . . . Customer Experience:. CRM (e.g., Salesforce), Digital Marketing Hubs.. . . CCaaS:. Experience with leading contact center platforms (e.g., Genesys, NICE, Five9).. . . Security:. Deep understanding of application security principles, authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth, SAML, OIDC), and identity management.. . . Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).. . . . Soft Skills & Leadership Qualities:. . . . Executive Presence:.
