This Associate Director, Patient Navigator role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patients and their families by guiding them through complex gene therapy treatment journeys. You will serve as a trusted partner to patients, caregivers, and treatment centers, providing high-touch education, support, and resources. The position blends patient advocacy with strategic oversight, requiring collaboration across internal teams to optimize program operations. You will identify barriers, ensure timely access to treatment, and implement patient-centered solutions. This role demands empathy, problem-solving, and leadership skills to improve patient experiences while driving operational excellence in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.. . Accountabilities. . Provide personalized education and guidance to patients and caregivers about treatment logistics, pre-treatment considerations, and post-treatment expectations.. . Support patients in understanding coverage, prior authorizations, and access to resources, ensuring clarity and confidence throughout the journey.. . Guide patients through case management, coordinating support services including travel, lodging, and reimbursement.. . Identify and address barriers to treatment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve access challenges.. . Engage with healthcare providers, Qualified Treatment Centers (QTCs), and advocacy organizations to enhance patient support and program awareness.. . Monitor patient milestones and adherence to treatment timelines, maintaining high-quality, timely support.. . Contribute to program operations, implementing best practices, analyzing patient data, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.. . . BA/BS degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech patient services, including expertise in access/reimbursement and complex case management.. . Direct experience working with patients and/or caregivers; Registered Nurse (RN) or gene therapy experience is a plus.. . Strong knowledge of payer systems, reimbursement processes, and patient assistance resources.. . Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers with empathy and clarity.. .
