We’re looking for a Bookkeeper / Accountant who will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely reconciliations, and organised financial data. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and proactive, who can manage bookkeeping independently while supporting reporting and maintaining clean financial systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and helping the business maintain strong financial visibility.. Key Responsibilities: . Day-to-Day Bookkeeping. Record and maintain accurate financial transactions. Ensure proper coding of expenses and income. Maintain a clean and consistent chart of accounts. Reconciliations. Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations. Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. Ensure all accounts are accurate and up to date. Accounts Payable & Receivable. Manage supplier invoices and payment schedules. Track receivables and follow up on outstanding payments. Maintain organised and accurate records of all transactions. Financial Reporting Support. Assist in preparing basic financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Ensure records are ready for month-end review. Support external accountants with the required documentation. Process & System Maintenance. Maintain organised financial records and documentation. Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency. Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures. Required Skills and Qualifications:. 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Strong experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar). Solid understanding of reconciliations and financial reporting basics. close attention to detail and accuracy. Experience managing accounts payable and receivable. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently in a remote setup. Good written and verbal English communication skills. Nice to Have. Experience supporting construction, infrastructure, or project-based businesses. Exposure to Australian clients or accounting practices. Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills.
