Healthcare Administrative Assistant at Staff4Me. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable. Healthcare Administrative Assistant. (PART-TIME) to support our healthcare operations remotely. This role involves managing patient communications, coordinating with insurance providers, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and comfortable working independently in a low-volume environment. . Key Responsibilities. . Schedule and manage patient appointments . . Answer inbound calls and return missed calls (volume may vary day to day). . Contact insurance companies to follow up on claims and required documentation . . Follow provided scripts during patient and carrier interactions . . Document all communications with patients and insurance carriers. . . Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of claim forms. . Use Excel to track patient visits, claim submission dates, and payment status. . . Preferred Skills & Traits. . Experience following up on insurance denials . . Strong attention to detail . . Logical and analytical thinking . . Clear and professional communication skills . . Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. . Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. . Work schedule. Monday to Friday 10-30 AM – 3-30 PM EST (25 hours per week). . 1-2 years of previous experience in healthcare administration or similar roles. Medical scheduling experience preferred. . . Experience with medical billing, claims processing, insurance verification will be preferred. . . Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems – HR . . Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel . . Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision . . Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace . . Good communication skills in English (spoken and written). .
