The Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate tax records, preparing local, state, and federal tax returns, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations for Workforce Go! clients. The Payroll Tax Specialist also conducts research, resolves complex tax-related issues, and collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain payroll tax accuracy and client satisfaction.. Principal Duties & Responsibilities:. Tax Account Setup & Agency Communication:. Establish and manage tax filing accounts, acting as the main point of contact for both federal and state tax agencies. (Intermediate). Payroll Tax Document Analysis & Adjustments:. Review, validate, and adjust payroll tax documents and reports for accuracy, applying approved procedures to resolve discrepancies. (Intermediate). Issue Resolution & Research:. Investigate complex payroll tax issues, providing guidance to colleagues and clients, and explaining specialized information as required. (Advanced). Reporting & Reconciliation:. Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, as well as end-of-year tasks including W-2/W-3 processing. Ensure timely updates in Master Tax and payroll tax processes.
